NoDa Yoga announces closure next month
A popular yoga studio in Charlotte announced its imminent closure on Instagram yesterday. Here, it claimed that its final day of operation would be on November 30th. This comes after nearly 15 years of providing yoga in the area and building up quite a reputation during that time.
On their Instagram account, they wrote: “Dear NoDa Yoga friends, with a heavy heart, I’m writing to you today to let you know NoDa Yoga will be closing its doors. November 30, 2023 will be the last day of classes offered by NoDa Yoga.” The full statement can be seen in more detail below.
The statement also alluded that the venue may still remain a yoga studio, albeit with a different name and different teachers. With this being said, it may not be as bad news for local yogis as it first appeared. Since the announcement, many Charlotte yogis commented with support and praise towards the studio. In under 24 hours, the statement also received hundreds of likes.
Over the years, NoDa yoga was known for being inclusive for the whole community, while also teaching about the mental benefits of yoga. In other words, for many it was genuinely more than a yoga studio and was more of a community hub instead.
