While it may not be groundbreaking news, a recent neighborhood drama has gripped Washington D.C. residents living in South Carolina and 3rd SE. This is because posters recently started emerging around the neighborhood accusing ‘Entitled Karens’ of chopping a 20-year-old wisteria vine.

There were two posters that had similar messages, and one even offered a reward for identifying the culprit. According to the poster, the incident took place between August 18th to 21st but the posters have only just started circulating around the neighborhood. An image of one of the posters can be seen in greater detail below, where it berates the culprits.

The image was uploaded to Reddit where rumors and speculation began surrounding the incident. Here, some even claimed that the poster creator was just as petty as those who cut the vines. Here, one user chimed in by claiming: “My first thought is someone had bushes taking over half of the sidewalk and they’re made because someone else cut a path through,” while another wrote “Least passive aggressive Cap Hill resident (ever).”

While it’s not nice to have private property vandalized, it also shows a very real case of middle-class problems when someone takes time out of their schedule to make posters hunting for suspects. Unfortunately for that person, nothing has come of their efforts despite the posters still remaining on the street. We shall update you if anything emerges regarding the future of this story.
