Swanky Italian Food Hall to soon open in Soho

Last autumn, news spread about Eataly, the expansive Italian culinary marketplace that initially launched in New York’s Flatiron District in 2010. It was revealed that Eataly had secured a lease at 200 Lafayette Street in Soho, generating considerable enthusiasm among local residents due to the venue’s reputation for offering a diverse range of grocery stores, and restaurants with both dine-in and grab-and-go options.

The market is set to occupy approximately 18,000 square feet across the ground floor and lower levels of the establishment. Now, it appears like its opening day is drawing closer. This is because it has recently been seen with signs in the windows that hint it will soon be open for business.

Eataly Soho will provide an array of authentic Italian products, including fresh cheeses, cured meats, produce, kitchenware, and recipe books, all deeply rooted in the European culinary tradition. Similar gastronomic choices are available at the Eataly location at the World Trade Center.

The original Eataly location in New York, situated at 200 Fifth Avenue, remains operational, adjacent to Madison Square Park. Additionally, in the summer of 2016, Eataly Downtown, a branch of the market with a focus on bread, opened on the third floor of 4 World Trade Center at 101 Liberty Street in the Financial District.

Although there is no official opening date announced as of yet, the presence of signs in the space’s windows suggests that the new food hall will be ready to welcome shoppers in the near future.
