Originally established in 1958 by Gene and Claudia Spathas, Claudia’s was envisioned as a comprehensive establishment, boasting a warm and inviting ambiance, an extensive menu featuring burgers and classic tavern dishes, and a fully stocked bar, often featuring a selection of top-quality IPAs from esteemed breweries like Breakside and others.

While the iconic swiveling captain’s chairs vanished nearly a decade ago, Claudia’s remained a popular destination for sports enthusiasts, offering numerous screens throughout the bar, a cozy fireplace in the main dining area, and additional amenities such as pool and poker tables.

To bid farewell to its loyal patrons, Claudia’s Sports Pub has arranged a farewell gathering scheduled for Saturday, October 7, from 2 to 5 p.m. at its location on 3006 S.E. Hawthorne Blvd.
