Curiously, Memphis’s most expensive property just slashed $50,000 off its asking price. Despite this, it is still listed for $2,350,000. Here’s where it gets a little odd. It’s not that there aren’t million-dollar listings in Memphis, but this house doesn’t exactly look amazing. For instance, its square footage is missing from the Zillow listing and the house doesn’t actually look that big. This is confirmed by its 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It is also a single-story property which means it’s not exactly a mansion either.

Furthermore, Zillow estimates this at around $360,000 as well. So, what is going on? Firstly, this could be to do with the acres which are fairly big. This property sits on 4 acres of land which means that it could act as prime real estate for the right buyer. Secondly (and more likely), it’s due to a seller with ideas above their station.

While the property is nice enough and modern inside, it doesn’t exactly command a price tag of well over $2 million. As seen, it has a decent bedroom and kitchen, albeit it’s certainly not the nicest house in Memphis.

The reality is that unless the right buyer comes along with plans for the land, that this property will probably need another price cut. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see how this property plays out in the upcoming future.
