Idaho Governor Brad Little blasted over new education initiative
This week, Idaho Governor Brad Little took to Instagram to promote Idaho Launch, a new initiative to help with education fees in Idaho. Despite his positive outlook, not everyone in the comments agreed. In fairness, not every comment was negative. Nonetheless, as a politician you’re always going to come under fire. This was aimed at his photo relating to the Idaho Launch, which was captioned: ‘Idaho LAUNCH is a GAME CHANGER for Idaho students and Idaho families. Applications open Oct. 3. Responding to Little, one user wrote: “No rules making sure businesses benefitting are even located in Idaho? This was a bad program gift to big corporations and not appropriate for taxpayer money to train workforces for out-of-state interests. Lousy job Little and left-leaning reps and senators that voted this in.”
On a similar note, another person wrote: “Daddy Brad trying to make governments/governor the provider of all things: level income, own nothing, tyranny is key, bigger government is better. Idarado is the new name change.”
With this said, some clearly saw the Idaho Launch as a gimmick that did not serve the interests of the public. Ultimately, whether Idaho Launch is a success remains to be seen. Clearly though, not everyone is convinced.
