Yesterday, the I Love Bagels store at Ocean Ranch in Dana Point unfortunately had an SUV crash straight into the front of the venue. As of right now, little information is known about how this event unfolded. Nonetheless, it is understood that no one was injured and the situation was eventually resolved.

Obviously, this could have gone a lot worse had the car hit a pedestrian so thankfully luck was on the side of the driver. Nonetheless, luck wasn’t with I Love Bagels as they will need to repair their storefront. The scene was taped off and as shown in the image below, a diner can casually be seen going about their day as if nothing happened.

The image was originally uploaded to Reddit, where users joked that the driver clearly didn’t love bagels. While others argued that this could also be an act of love if they were desperate to eat the savory treats.

Speaking of which, one Reddit user wrote: “Yes. No bagels until further notice. No one was hurt that work there. As for the customers they all ran as they saw the car coming closer. There is a searing area out to the curb so they can see a car coming their way. This car decided to put it into drive instead of reverse this morning. And ruined their day and mine for the next few months due to construction and their car and fines they will have to pay. They were not under the influence but as far as coffee I doubt it. They were in a hurry to get to the other side because Starbucks was over behind this bagel shop and they mobile ordered their drink thinking Starbucks was here.”

Despite damage to their property, it looks as though I Love Bagels is still open for business according to Google. Luckily, there are also a few other locations dotted around the Orange County area.
