Beloved Asheville cafe to permanently close after 7 years

A South Asheville establishment that has been a unifying hub for the community, where patrons gathered to enjoy macarons and afternoon tea, is set to cease its regular operations this autumn. This closure will take place after 7 years of business, which was overseen by the owner Jill Wasilewski. Over the years, the eatery gained favorable reviews from locals.

Wasilewski first opened Ivory Road Café and Kitchen on Brevard Road back in August 2016. Unless unforeseen staffing shortages necessitate an earlier closure, the establishment will conclude its regular business operations on October 28th. According to the Ivory Road Instagram account, the reason for closing was because: “I’m also feeling the exhausting effects of the restaurant industry and am needing a life change.” More details can be seen below.

In the remaining weeks leading up to its closure, Ivory Road will maintain its typical breakfast and lunch services, featuring delectable dishes such as Nutella and Banana Stuffed French Toast and Caprese Panini. These services will be available from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday.

Scheduled special events, including upcoming wine dinners, will proceed as planned. All dining reservations will be honored through December, although access to the dining area will be limited to those with existing reservations. Furthermore, gift cards will be accepted until the end of October.
