For a few weeks now, internet users engaged in discussions speculating whether the well-known burger establishment might potentially establish a presence at The Outlets at Orange. In-N-Out has initiated the process of obtaining a conditional use permit for the address 3520 C The City Way East, which presently houses an El Torito restaurant.

Originally, a permit application, filed on Thursday, August 13th, outlined plans for the “removal of an existing dine-in restaurant to make way for the construction of a new drive-through fast food establishment.” According to Carl Arena, the chain’s vice president of real estate & development, the situation is far from confirmed. He remarked, “While we aspire to eventually open a restaurant at The Outlets At Orange, it’s important to note that our discussions are at such an early stage that there is no substantive information to share at this time.”

More recently, an Orange County resident also reported on signs surrounding the building that read ‘”Future home of In-N-Out” This was posted on Reddit where users speculated about the upcoming fast food chain coming to the area. Founded in 1948, In-N-Out Burger pioneered the drive-thru concept and emphasized quality and simplicity in their offerings. Their straightforward menu, featuring burgers, fries, and beverages, remains largely unchanged, with minor additions.

At this moment in time, there is no set date when this Orange County branch will open.
