Popular Philly Bagel Shop to permanently close this weekend
Korshak Bagels is set to bid farewell to its South Philly location this coming weekend, marking the conclusion of an illustrious era that redefined the art of crafting bagels in the city.
Here, he wrote: “Good morning, South Philly Hard news: the bagelshop is closing Last day is service will be Sunday, September 24th It has been an honor and a privilege. I am truly blessed to experience the depth of kindness that is the ever-changing sea of humanity who sometimes say bagel when they mean love.”
Throughout the pandemic, Korshak Bagels functioned exclusively as a takeout establishment, utilizing an online ordering system for customer pickups. In recent weeks, Mr. Korshak had been active on Instagram, updating patrons on the business’s return to a COVID-safe operational mode and the reintroduction of online ordering services.
Korshak’s announcement garnered nearly 500 comments on Instagram, where Philadelphia locals praised his store and paid their condolences. Arguably, this was the best bagel shop in the area and this was reflected with hundreds of online reviews who clearly thought the same.
