On Tuesday, Amazon disclosed its intention to recruit over 5,600 individuals in the state of Colorado. Within this recruitment initiative, the corporation specifically emphasized its plan to fill 1,290 vacancies in Colorado Springs.

Furthermore, Amazon has a nationwide objective of hiring a total of 250,000 employees for various positions, encompassing full-time, seasonal, and part-time roles across the United States. This shows an expansion policy that has been rolled out throughout the year as the retail giant continues to solidify its grip on online sales. In part, this has been helped by building more, localized hubs that have improved its efficiency and ability to hire more workers.

Speaking on the Amazon career website, they said: “Whether someone is looking for a short-term way to make extra money, or is hoping to take their first step toward a fulfilling and rewarding career at Amazon, there’s a role available for them. A fulfillment or transportation employee who starts with us today will see a 13% increase in pay over the next three years—likely more, including our annual wage investments—and that’s on top of offerings like pre-paid college tuition with Career Choice and healthcare benefits on day one.”
