After a prolonged period of anticipation marked by several delays, Bojangles has officially commenced its operations in Columbus. The establishment located at 831 Hilliard Rome Rd. is now open for business, offering a somewhat limited but undeniably delectable menu. It’s worth noting that the current menu does not include bone-in chicken, although this omission is temporary.

Bojangles’ menu features an all-day breakfast selection, along with a diverse array of choices, including boneless chicken, biscuit sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, and an assortment of sides like Bo Fries, dirty rice, and macaroni and cheese. And of course, there’s a touch of sweetness with options like the Bo-Berry biscuit and a refreshing glass of sweet tea.

This expansion into the Columbus market is part of a strategic move by Bojangles, with plans to open 15 new restaurants in the area. This growth is part of a larger arrangement with franchise owner Jeff Rigsby, who has ambitious plans to establish 45 new locations over the next seven years.

These new restaurants will be strategically located within Rigsby’s key markets, which encompass Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and, notably, Columbus. Additionally, documents have recently been submitted to the city for the development of a second Central Ohio location at 853 S 30th Street in Heath.

This comes after months of delays and confusion regarding the opening of Bojangles. Now, it appears that all of that is history as it has finally opened its doors to the public.
