This weekend, New Orleans is hosting a new coffee festival. Here, New Orleans locals will be invited to drink coffee until their hearts are content. While this may sound like a lot of caffeine to some, it may also sound like heaven if you’re a fan of coffee.

The NOLA Coffee Festival is an annual trade exhibition within the coffee industry that gathers insights from experts, speakers, and educators while also providing an opportunity for the general public to partake in the experience. This event is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, September 15-16, and will be hosted at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

On Saturday, September 16, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., there is a dedicated Consumer Day, and tickets can be purchased starting at $15.

Attendees can anticipate encountering over a dozen local coffee roasters offering samples, along with educational sessions on home coffee brewing, displays showcasing various aspects of the coffee bean industry, and an assortment of coffee-related products. The festival features attractions like a micro-roasters’ village, an art gallery, a coffee shop city, a tattoo parlor, and more.

The event’s classes cover topics such as barista skills, coffee roasting techniques, coffee shop ownership and management, as well as coffee history. Additionally, there will be engaging “barista threauxdown competitions.”
