New advert on Hendersonville billboard reveals relics of the past

This week, a new advert was put up on a Hendersonville billboard which revealed some very old businesses that used to occupy the area many years back. In short, whenever a billboard advert is added, the previous one is stripped off. This revealed two old establishments that some of the older generation may fondly remember.

On the left was an advert for Binions Roadhouse which is still operating as usual. This is located at 4 Seasons Blvd and was founded decades ago. It looks as though this advert may have been made in the late 90s or early 2000s, although not much has changed in terms of the logo design. In fairness, if the business has lasted that long then why change a winning formula?

Secondly, the next advert on the billboard was for Kelsey’s City Grill. This location closed in 2011 and the building has been abandoned ever since. Located on Spartanburg Hwy, this building is still just about going but may need a serious refurbishment. According to this Reddit thread, one user claimed that it would be converted into a car wash ‘soon’.

If nothing else, this billboard shows that time marches on and some places get left behind. With this said, it will be interesting to see how the new advert does and whether it lasts as long as Binion’s.
