New Yemeni cafe opening soon in downtown Sacramento
A new Yemeni cafe is set to open at the old Estelle’s location at 9th & K. This was confirmed by a large poster on the outside of the property that read: ‘Coming soon!’ and was also mentioned on their official Instagram page. Initially based in San Francisco, it looks as though this cafe chain is now expanding to other areas of California.
In fact, the poster also mentions locations in New York and Paris so it looks like business is booming. So, if you’re in downtown Sacramento then it’s worth a try, as Yemeni coffees and pastries are known for being delicious.
Yemeni cafe cuisine offers a unique and flavorful dining experience, with an emphasis on spices, communal eating, and a blend of traditional and regional flavors. It’s a cuisine that reflects the country’s history, geography, and culture and also has some great sweet dishes.
Overall, it will be interesting to see if Sanaa will succeed. While they clearly have a good business model, this location was not enough for Estelle’s Patisserie which eventually closed. Having said this, there is a big commercial difference between cakes and coffee. For those wondering, an exact opening date has not been given yet but based on the fanfare, it will be opening within at some time this year.
