Popular Portland coffee shop announces closure
The Pied Cow coffeehouse in SE Belmont Street, Portland recently announced that it would be closing down. This was a rather abrupt and unforeseen announcement that took place on their Instagram account. Here they wrote: “It’s all for sale! Check out the stuff before it all disappears!” which showed that their antiques and interiors would be for sale due to the shop closing. This was its first Instagram post since March which speaks volumes and as you may have expected, numerous Portland residents paid tributes in the comments section.
The Pied Cow had been going for over a decade and was one of Portland’s most popular coffee shops. In fact, it also had rumors that it was haunted and generally had a cult status within the city due to its quirky personality. Unfortunately, the owners did not specify a reason for its closure or when its last day will be however, as this statement was made very recently more details could be revealed in the coming days.
Regardless, it’s fair to say that this place will be missed as it was highly rated in Portland. Over the years, it had achieved a 4.3/5 rating on Google across 482 reviews which shows that it was well received. It is not known what will happen to the building but if you want some Pied Cow memories then now is the time to head over there and look at the sale.
