Wild hogs spotted in Jacksonville suburbs
It’s no secret that Florida is home to lots of wild animals. In fact, according to this article, it has roughly 500,000 wild hogs living there. With this said, it’s not too surprising that two wild hogs were seen running around the suburbs in Jacksonville. Nonetheless, this sight isn’t exactly common either.
The video begins by seeing a baby black hog running next to a car. It momentarily pauses before running off at a considerable speed. After this, the camera pans out to show another wild hog in the far distance that is also running past the nearby houses.
This video was originally uploaded to Reddit and highlights the wildlife surrounding us in Florida. Although most of Jacksonville has become more urbanized in recent decades, it is still filled with animals that sometimes venture outside of their natural habitat. This took place in the Orange Park area. Unfortunately, the fate of the hogs is not known as this video ends with the pair running into the distance.
Although these were only babies, it should also be pointed out that if you see a large hog roaming around then you should never approach it. This is because they can sometimes become aggressive and charge at humans. In rare cases, this can even lead to serious injury or death.
