Yesterday, the popular vegan restaurant Vegan Galaxy announced that it was closing on its official Instagram page. This announcement was somewhat out of the blue for the public as it was operating as normal in the days leading up to the news.

Here, Vegan Galaxy wrote: “We would like to thank our customers for years of support. Our last day of restaurant operation will be Sept 17th. Please come by for your favorite dish before it’s gone forever.”

Since the announcement was made, Vegan Galaxy have not given a reason for their closure however it is assumed to be due to economic reasons. Over the years, this earned the reputation of one of the best vegan restaurants in the Orange County area.

This announcement garnered a number of responses from the public who voiced their sadness. One Instagram user named Shanel Butterfly replied: “Aww man, I loved you guys. I started going years ago with my sister who was a vegan and I just kept going even though I’m not. It was super good. This was my sister’s favorite place to go, she passed a few months ago so this makes me really sad today.”

Formerly known as Vegan Nirvana, this restaurant was known for its vegan dishes such as its chocolate cake, sandwiches, lemonade, and tacos. As of the time of writing, it is not known what will replace this restaurant. However, due to the popular location you can assume that it will be filled with a similar establishment soon.
