Over the past few years alone, this industry has boomed in the city with many jumping on the bandwagon to earn a fast buck. In new data released by InsideAirbnb, it was revealed that Asheville has the most Airbnb’s per head when compared to the rest of the USA.

In other words, it is the most dense area in the country when it comes to Airbnb properties. Unsurprisingly then, the Asheville property market has also boomed during this time which is strongly correlated with the demand for buy-to-let properties.

As seen in the infographic above, figures from June 2023 show that Asheville had a total of 34.2 Airbnb properties per 1000 people. In comparison, the closest area was Hawaii which had a total of 22.4 Airbnb properties per 1000 people.

For comparison, the tenth most dense city was San Diego which had a mere 8.8 properties per 1000 people. In other words, this highlights just how many Airbnb properties are truly situated in Asheville compared to elsewhere. Overall, this is a fascinating insight into the Asheville rental market and shows how popular it truly is. From the outside, you may imagine that places like New York City, Honolulu, or Las Vegas were the most popular. However, this assumption would be very wrong.
