San Antonio Airport temporarily locked down – And no one knows why
This morning, San Antonio Airport was temporarily placed into lockdown. In a bizarre twist, no one knows why, and little information has been released surrounding the incident. The lockdown was first mentioned by Twitter users who voiced their confusion while being stuck in the airport. One traveler named Dre also videoed the ordeal and wrote: “No one’s able to leave. None of the airport staff know what’s going on, cops locked doors from the outside.”
Interestingly, the lockdown ended almost as quickly as it was enforced. However, the public are still looking for answers. Having said this, we may have found the reason. Looking through the San Antonio police calls list, it appears that there was an injured or sick person that emergency services were called for.
Thankfully, it looks as though the issue has been resolved and the airport operations are back to normal. With this said, the whole scenario seems a little bizarre but the main thing is that no one was hurt. On a separate note, it also happened in the early hours of the morning, so this lockdown could have been far more destructive if it occurred during peak hours.
