It’s late September and this means that SoCal Vegfest is fast approaching. This won’t be its first year either as it has been a regular fixture for a while now. In fact, you could argue that it’s the biggest vegan event on the Orange County calendar. However, it’s not just about food and the cuisine only covers a section of the event.

As the title of the event suggests, this is based on celebrating vegetarian food, and according to the website it promises: ‘SoCal VegFest is an exciting yearly vegan festival that offers a range of activities for attendees to enjoy, including free food samples, food and drink for purchase, a cruelty-free marketplace, inspirational speakers, food demonstrations, appearances by celebrity chefs and social media influencers, live music from famous musicians and DJs, comedy performances, yoga sessions, games, a kids area, and much more!’

This event will take place on September 23rd and 24th (over the weekend) and is located at OC Fair & Events Center 88 Fair Dr, Costa Mesa, CA 92626. It’s also a nice touch to see that kids under 12 and those aged 65 and above get into the festival for free (and not to forget copious free samples). With this said, if you’re a vegan or veggie in the Orange County area then it may be worth checking out.
