A new board game cafe is set to open in Modesto. According to the owners, the aptly named ‘Meeple Valley’ will be the first of its kind in the city and boasts over 500 unique board games to play with. Aside from the games, it will also serve snacks and drinks and put on community events for Modesto locals. Over the years, the trend of board game cafes has taken the US by storm, so it’s not too surprising to see one pop up in the city.

Here, customers can come and rent a board game for an hour or so and play it with friends, while having the option to buy food and drink as well. So, if you’ve been itching to play Dungeons and Dragons or even something like Buckaroo then this is where Meeple Valley serves its purpose.

Right now, the venue or opening date has yet to be announced. However, its Instagram page is active and claims that it’s ‘coming soon’. This has also been accompanied by a physical flyer which is also promoting the new business.

In addition to this, a GoFundMe has also been created by the cafe to help fund its physical premises. However, it looks like this has now been sorted and the venue will be opening in the near future.
