Yet another dining establishment in Cincinnati has ceased its operations permanently. The closure of 13th Street Alley, a walk-up window situated in the Over-the-Rhine area, has been confirmed through a notice posted on its window. As seen, the sign reads: “We would like to thank all our customers who supported us since 2018 thank you, and God bless you.”

This eatery, situated on 13th Street near Main, was renowned for its straightforward approach to serving Philly cheesesteaks, presenting a selection of seven variations of this classic dish, alongside bowls, salads, and hand-cut fries. Notably, this marks the second restaurant in Over-the-Rhine to declare its closure this August, as Copper & Flame also concluded its services.

In the same month, a series of other dining establishments in the Greater Cincinnati region have likewise revealed their closures. Haru, a Korean restaurant located in downtown Cincinnati, along with Keystone Bar & Grill in Covington and the Korean-inspired pub Chimaek, are among the establishments that have communicated their closures. Keystone Bar & Grill’s final day of operation will be this Saturday, whereas the proprietors of Chimaek have expressed their endeavors toward developing a new restaurant concept. Curiously, 13th Street Alley opted not to disclose the reasons behind its decision to cease operations.
