It’s not every day that you stumble upon a hidden homeless shack that is hiding in plain sight. However, today is one of those days. An image recently went viral that showed the makeshift house based in the bushes in the Yesler area of the city.

Although visible from above, the camo exterior helps this shack blend into its surroundings perfectly and it certainly looks the part. Even more impressively is its features. If you look closely, you can also see that it’s fitted with an AC system, as well as security cameras. In short, this looks like the work of a skilled camper, rather than your average homeless person. It also takes the term ‘urban camping’ to another level.

This image was originally uploaded onto the Yesler section of Instagram and was taken by a resident who was intrigued by its obscure look. As you can imagine, users on the social media platform were equally perplexed and speculated on who could live there. Whatever your thoughts on homeless camping, you have to admit that this is an impressive structure with a lot of effort gone into it.

It is not known whether the creator of this shack was behind the similar encampment built on Harborview before it was burned down last month however, it has clearly captured the curiosities of the Seattle locals for now.
