The Sioux City Neighborhood Network cordially invites residents to partake in the celebration of National Night Out on Tuesday, August 1, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

National Night Out is a local initiative that aims to foster community engagement in crime prevention activities, strengthen police-community partnerships, and enhance neighborhood relationships and camaraderie.

Residents across Sioux City, as well as in various neighborhoods throughout the nation, are encouraged to participate in the event by securing their homes, illuminating their surroundings with outside lights, and spending quality time outdoors with neighbors, along with representatives from the City Police and Fire Departments, as well as other local agencies and organizations. Overall, it looks like this could be a good chance to meet new people and have some good fun in the process.

Several Sioux City neighborhoods will be hosting enjoyable events featuring complimentary food, entertaining games, and bounce houses at the following locations:

  • Grandma Moos Park: 221 Cecelia Street
  • Riverside Lutheran Church: 1817 Riverside Boulevard
  • Cook Park: 505 Market St.
  • Dale Street Park: 1514 Dale St.

  • St. Mark Lutheran Church: 5200 Glenn Ave.
  • St. John Lutheran Church: 2801 Jackson St.
