Yumz Vegan Bakery & Cafe has been a staple of the Salt Lake City restaurant scene for a few years now and is popular with the local community. This is for good reason too, as their vegan bakes are very tasty, and combined with a cozy atmosphere, the cafe is on to a real winner.

However, the cafe recently started a fundraiser due to the owner falling very sick and needing medical help. Sadly, this medical help is not cheap and the fundraiser is looking to raise $60,000 to be spent on medical tests, medicines, and treatments.

Part of the fundraiser reads: “Within the past month CC has been diagnosed with one of many conditions that allow her to either have 3-10 years of life. If she beats the odds she can live, but will be very limited and be living an uncomfortable life. She is trying her best to stay strong for her Team, Family, Daughter, and herself but she has pushed more than she can take and really needs the help and time to rest and get assistance.” This shows just why the money is needed urgently and any donations would be greatly appreciated.

So far the Salt Lake City community has raised over $3,500 which is impressive in its own right – but hopefully this is only the beginning and CC gets the care she deserves.
