The Pasadena, California-based restaurant chain Dog Haus is set to expand its reach to the Louisville area, bringing its signature hot dogs, sausages, and burgers to New Albany by Spring 2024. Franchise owner Jon Riddle envisions a total of five Dog Haus locations in the region, including one additional site in Clark County and three in Jefferson County. However, this will be the first of its kind in Louisville.

Dog Haus’s menu features a variety of creative hot dog creations, such as the Chili Idol, topped with Haus chili, cheddar cheese sauce, and onions; the Old Town, brimming with smoked bacon, caramelized onions, chipotle aioli, pickled jalapenos, and cojita cheese; and the SoooCali, adorned with wild arugula, avocado, tomato, crispy onions, and spicy basil aioli.

Although the establishment will primarily serve hot dogs, it also serves an array of burgers for lovers of beef. According to Dog Haus, the business has over 120 locations across the USA. Based on the likes of Riddle and others, it looks as though there could be plenty more on the way.

The new Dog Haus location will occupy the former Monnik Beer Co. space at 415 W. Bank St. In addition to its distinctive food offerings, Dog Haus will boast 24 beers on tap for patrons to enjoy.
