The proprietors of 1907 Barbecue, located within Mother Road Market, have used social media to convey the news that their establishment would cease operations on Friday. Over the years, 1907 Barbecue earned stellar reviews from the community and was often viewed as one of the best BBQ spots in the city.

In their announcement, signed by “Justin and John,” they shared that they intend to take a temporary hiatus from the demanding routine of barbecue preparation. They expressed a peculiar sentiment of nostalgia for the early mornings, the sweltering heat, and the aromatic smoke that has been an integral part of their barbecue journey, but above all, they emphasized their genuine affection for their customers.

In another Instagram post, they also thanked the people of Tulsa for their support and wrote: “This Friday, September 22, is our last day. We are smoking everything we have and will be serving until we run out. We have loved every drop of blood, sweat, and tears that have gone into our craft and are grateful for our time at Mother Road Market.” Over the years, 1907 Barbecue earned stellar reviews from the community and was often viewed as one of the best BBQ spots in the city.

1907 Barbecue was established through the collaborative efforts of Justin Carroll and John Karr. The restaurant will remain open until they exhaust their current inventory of food items on the upcoming Friday.
