Popular Taco Spot closes in downtown Cleveland

The once-popular Taco Bell Cantina in downtown Cleveland has permanently shuttered its doors, as indicated by a notice displayed in the restaurant’s window. Here, the notice read: ‘We are sorry for the inconvenience, but this location has CLOSED,” the sign said. “Please visit us at one of our neighboring locations. Thank you for your support and understanding.’

This closure was certainly abrupt and members of the public may not have seen it coming. Interestingly, it didn’t mention why the store had closed either and Taco Bell has not given an explanation. As is often the nature of corporate closures, it is understood that this was most likely a financial decision rather than one that was personally motivated.

Despite having generally solid reviews online, not everyone was convinced. One Cleveland Reddit user wrote this about the joint: “This was the worst Taco Bell I’ve ever been to so I guess I’m not surprised – both times I went there I had to wait 30-45 minutes for my order. I’m excited to see if anything else goes in there now”

This particular Cantina, which initially opened its doors in 2017, was among the first six in the nation to offer alcoholic beverages alongside a tapas-style menu, shareable appetizers, and the regular menu. As of the time of writing, it is not known what will replace this restaurant.
