Popular Pie Shop opens in Spokane

September 18, 2023 by No Comments

An Idaho pie shop has just opened up its first location in Spokane. The pie shop named Birdie’s, which originally established its roots in 2019 in Post Falls and later expanded to Hayden in 2021, opened its doors on Saturday. This latest addition finds its home in a building that formerly served as a bail bonds company, located at 712 N. Monroe St. in Spokane.

The menu offers a diverse price range, starting at $5.95 for a personal-sized pie and going up to $34 for a whole pie, depending on the variety you choose.

The pie selection encompasses more than 20 “savory” options, featuring favorites like the chicken pot pie, which consistently sells out daily. Additionally, the shop boasts an extensive array of over 100 sweet pie variations, including the delectable “caramelized banana cream pie.”

Customers have the convenience of placing their orders online and then picking them up at the physical location. Operating hours for this new location are as follows: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays, closed on Sundays and Mondays, and open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, with extended hours until 8 p.m. on Fridays.

According to one Spokane resident named Rory Calhoun who passed by, the opening was well received by the local community. Here he wrote: “There was a long line out the door when we passed the new location yesterday. Seems like they will do well.” With this being said, it looks like this bird may soar to success.
