Zankou Chicken’s inaugural Long Beach establishment has at long last unveiled its doors, marking the culmination of eager anticipation spanning several months. This renowned eatery traces its roots back to Beirut, Lebanon, where it started as a take-out establishment.

Following the Iskenderian family’s immigration to Los Angeles, it was resurrected in East Hollywood during the early 1980s. Since then, it has garnered a devoted following akin to a cultural phenomenon, even making appearances in popular culture. Last week, a soft launch heralded its arrival, and now it stands open for business on a permanent basis. Since its opening, Zankou Chicken has received positive reviews from the Long Beach community who seem to have taken to the Lebanese style of chicken.

The restaurant’s signature dishes include rotisserie chicken plates, particularly when accompanied by their renowned homemade toum, a delectable garlic sauce. The menu also boasts an array of options, including wraps, bowls, salads, kabob plates, and Mediterranean plates where you can choose your preferred meat and three sides. In short, it’s not your typical chicken spot and is quite different compared to most fried chicken places. Prices for these delectable offerings span from $10 to $20.

To savor the flavors of Zankou Chicken, venture over to their location at 2590 N. Lakewood Blvd. They are now officially open for business.
