Popular Oakland Ice Cream shop announces permanent closure this weekend

This week it was revealed that the pop-up store MyGoodness would be closing on September 17th. This means that by Sunday, it will be closed for the foreseeable future. MyGoodness first appeared in Oakland last year and was a self-proclaimed pop-up store from day one.

In other words, it had no intentions of staying around for the long term. This is a shame as during the past few months it has been well received by locals who have praised its many flavors of ice cream. Although not confirmed, it is possible that the owners of MyGoodness secured a one-year lease which ends in the next few days.

The news of the closure was announced on social media which was greeted with sadness by Oakland natives. This shows just how much of an impact the parlor had despite only being short-term.

During its time here, it had stellar reviews on Google and has achieved a rating of 4.9/5 stars over 35 reviews. As far as eateries go, this is a pretty incredible score. Because of this, some locals may be wishing that this re-opens at some point. If financially successful then this is a possibility down the line. However, it looks like it won’t be for the foreseeable future and probably won’t be at the current location.

So, if you want to see what it’s about during its final week then you can go visit at 2834 Lakeshore Ave, Oakland, CA 94610 (opposite Lake Merritt Pergula).
