Locals shocked to see plane flying close to Ravenel Bridge – However there is a simple explanation

Perhaps the most impressive structure in Charleston is the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge. Not only this but it often involves plenty of traffic with commuters using it on a daily basis to head to work. Yesterday, an eagle-eyed driver noticed a yellow plane which they described as flying ‘dangerously close’ to cargo ships and underneath the bridge.

After hearing this story, you may think that it has some kind of deviant plot. However, that is not the case. Instead, there is a simple explanation that was later explained to the person who saw the aircraft. Like the commuters going to work, the pilot was also doing their job and it is actually for the good of the people.

According to locals, this was an aerial mosquito plane that sprays a substance into the air and kills mosquitos. These planes are often yellow and are fairly small, which fits the description of the original aircraft.

Their size is often used for practical reasons, such as the ability to weave under bridges for maximum efficiency. And, as this bridge is located above water, it makes sense that lots of mosquitos would live nearby. Overall, not many people are aware of mosquito planes but they have been used in various US states for decades and act as a solid tool in fighting against pests. If nothing else, this serves as a good example of not jumping to conclusions and that sometimes life is more mundane than it may first seem.
